The Science Behind

LexFilm™ Sun contains a specialized flexible polymer combined with an ester emollient.

The polymer component is a high molecular weight aliphatic polyester. This polymer is highly hydrophobic and crystalline which provides a film on skin that is difficult to re-emulsify and wash-off. This results in a water-resistant property. Polyester-7 also acts as a reservoir for UV filters, creating an even film on skin for optimized sun protection.

The ester component helps to fluidize the crystalline structure of the polyester for ease of formulation. It also provides organic UV filter solubilization to prevent recrystallization of the UV filters on skin.
