Processing Procedure
- Add Items 1 – 4 (main batch) stepwise with propeller mixing at medium – high speed, until solids dissolve.
- Slowly sift item 5 to main batch and mix until uniformly dispersed.
- Heat to 80 °C – 85 °C with continued stirring.
- At 55 °C – 60 °C, add Items 6 to main batch with mixing at medium speed.
- At 70 °C – 75 °C, add Items 7 – 9 to main batch with mixing at medium speed.
- At 80 °C – 85 °C, continue mixing at medium speed for 10 min to 15 min. Ensure all items are melted and uniformly dispersed.
- Stop heating and allow batch to cool with continued mixing at medium speed.
- At 70 °C, homogenize at 3000 rpm for 3 min.
- Transfer slow – medium anchor mixing. At 55 °C, add Item 10 to main batch.
- Stop mixing at 40 °C – 45 °C and allow to cool to room temperature.
Physical Properties
pH @ 25 °C = 3.50 – 4.50
Viscosity @ 25 °C (Brookfield DV1MRV; Spindle T-C @ 10 rpm) = 30,000 – 50,000 cps
